Community Integration

The Community Integration program at Fidelis Support Services assists and instructs clients in learning to participate in their community and to interact successfully with other community members.

Our staff will develop a plan of action in coordination with the clients (and their guardian when applicable) to identify areas of need regarding community integration and involvement.  This may include: developing a list of likes/dislikes, discussing strengths and areas of need regarding social interactions, role-playing social settings and cues and creating a plan to access community events.  

​

Successful participants in the Community Integration program will learn and be able to interact with community members on a regular basis, become a member of a peer group or organization, volunteer in the community, investigate community even opportunities and resources, develop a natural social support network and feel comfortable accessing community events, both with staff and on their own initiative.
